Very cool shot. Everything is vertical and it has such a neat effect.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: I like what you've tried to do here - using the motion blur to emphasise the linearity of the tree trunks. The dappled lighting serves to add some depth to the image too.

Critical stuff: As sound as your vision is, I don't think you've pulled it off. The large mass of ground that makes up the lower half of the image isn't (in my view) particularly suited to that sort of effect and the trees themselves are not vertical enough for the technique to work.

Overall: I like this sort of image but this one doesn't do it for me I'm afraid.

It's hard to see what it is, and it gives me a headache. The blur is just too much. 1
