 this is my first serious attempt in digital with an insect. these creatures are very elusive and dangerous. it took 300 captures to get maybe 4.
no flash or fill used so, at this pov the dof was near to none. processing was minimal with most attention for selective sharpen and blur.

Yellowjacket is the common name in North America for predatory wasps of the genera Vespula and Dolichovespula.
this is a Vespula. if anybody can positively ID its specifics, let me know.
