In historic St. John's, the capital city of Newfoundland, Canada (oldest and most easterly city in North America). This a typical intersection in the residential area of downtown, the locals call these colourful stretches of houses Jelly Bean Row.

There are countless numbers of them, running parallel and intersecting each other. These homes are built in the early 1800's, and you will see a mixture of renovated and run-down homes, all intertwined. Fisherman who lived here in the 1800's would use left over paint from their boats to paint their homes. The tradition of using colourful paints continues today, although very few of the residents would make their living from the fishery these days, as home owners want to preserve the vivid and sometimes strange colour combinations.

Love the name! It looks like you might have been using a polarizing lens, which gives a bit of a dull finish to the image.

I like the feel, but I think less is more with this shot.

Nice shot of downtown. Looks a bit underexposed though, I'd like to see it brighter so those colours really pop.
