This is the view of San Francisco Bay at Night from the hills of San Carlos, California. I was experimenting with long nighttime exposures and am pleased with how this came out, especially with how cold I was getting without a jacket. Hope you enjoy it!

Greetings from Critique Club:

Let me introduce myself. My name is Leroy Dickson, I'm a professional photographer, specializing in glamour, fashion and nude photography. But, I enjoy all forms of photography and appreciate the artistic efforts of all.

First Impression:
A stunning, well-executed image of the Sn Fran bay. It's a very nice image, worthy of a good stock photo portfolio.

Technicals:
Technically the image is good, from exposure to focus. I don't see any glaring errors.

Artistic:
Compositionally, the photo is kind of weak. Only the top horizon placed on the third line draws my eye. Moving the horizon down to the bottom third and including more sky may have been a stronger composition.

How to grow its vote:
Ehhh... as you may know, DPC is all about the "Wow Factor". Although this is a nice image, there's nothing to make the viewer say wow, look at that... or how'd they do that.

In closing:
I like the image. I personally think it should have placed higher, but I'm not the majority of the voters on the site. However, I encourage you to keep up the good work and I really enjoyed reviewing your image.

Needs discernible elements of interest. Seems too distant.
