Very much a last-minute shoehorn and I know the lighting isn't great, but oh well. Teaspoon of sugar on a white plate, lit by two home floods and some reflected light to underside of spoon. Camera on tripod, mirror lockup, used 2x magnifying filter.

pp: RAW-TFF conversion, lightness, contrast, brightness, clone out some stray sugar crystals, crop, resize, sharpen, save for web

simple concept but pretty well done. would have liked to see a little sharper focus on the sugar

"But, when it doesn't, try our brand!" Guess this could work, but it doesn't doesn't 'Pop' exposure-wise.

Great take on the challenge (and a good unique idea). Good placement of the spoon (entering the scene from the upper left). I do wish we could see a bit more detail in the sugar itself.
