 I realize people are probably tired of looking at macro bug shots especially with the "Shallow DOF" challenge still on the go when this was entered, but this was taken 1 day before that challenge so I couldn't enter it. And I think it's my best shot this month.

I'm not a member so I can't vote on member challenges. Instead, I look through the entries for images that make me stop clicking on to the next one. This is one of those images....

Wow... and I thought rose petals on the bed was romantic :)

Seriously I like this a lot - the focal plane on the lower bug is effective. Perhaps a bit deeper DOF to include the first part of the fiower's center would have been nice. (Yeah, I know... macro DOF is a b***ch.). Hope it does well.

lovely capture you might just want to clean up the dark bobs on the petals in the bottom of frame.

Nice take on difficult subject (anything macro is difficult for me) Appreciate this but that eye needs to be in focus which would have pushed this just 1 notch up for me
