There is a roadside turnout alongside Lac Des Arcs on the way to Banff National Park. It is almost funny to see how many tourists stop to take pictures of the lake. Sure its kinda pretty but its nothing compared to the lakes that are in the National Parks and with a cement factory in the background its actually kinda ugly.
Which made it perfect for this challenge...
I headed out at 11 pm and arrived just after midnight. I was fortunate enough to get a near full moon to throw some light on the mountains and I managed to get a clear sky to still get some stars.
Editing: Cropped, slight adjustment to levels in LR2. Noise ninja to clean up a bit of the noise. In PSP XI: Two passes of basic sharpen and I added the border before exporting to JPG

lights reflecting on water, industrial smoke drifting out of smoke stacks, night time shot... this seems to be the recipe for a high score... good luck
