Interesting reinterpretation of your original shot. The deep contrasting black and white is very nice here, if a little harsh at the highlights on the face - but that could be my monitor.
I particularly like the way the light falls across the sculpture's shoulder and upper chest.
Unfortunately, because it is difficult to identify what Mary's head is in the photograph and because of the orientation of the composition, Mary's head at first impression looks like it might be the left arm. The composition generally gives the impression of movement, almost evoking a figure dancing, rather than the mournful, static nature of the original piece. |

Okay, I think I located the original called He Remembers (From Above II).
This is an interesting retake. Coming back... better than just interesting. I really like the light. |
