The color and soft lighting are wonderful - a simple way to prevent the reflection - at least of yourself would be to wear black of course, or poke the camera through black curtains. This would remove some of the highlights too though without using a reflector or something for lighting the foreground.

I think your image is fine as it is. I think that people get rid of reflections by using light tents, but that gives a particular kind of picture, and doesn't add any context. Artists have often gone to great pains to include reflections on painted crockery.
