Eventually, I'll stop using black construction paper and get true black cloth for shots like these.

However, the black construction paper helped quite a bit because it gave it a purple tint with 1/128 power flash on the back left (purposeful effect).

This image is actually a masked overlay to bring out the gold left in front of the candle.

Some haloing appears. I had a version without it, but I thought it was a cool effect, so I left it in.

Not sure what gallery to put this into.

Great intricate object. It think I prefer this version to the solid black background.

This is really nice. I never would have thought that was black paper but I think I like it better than the complete black surround. This has a beautiful warmth that compliments the gold and the candle.
