lovely natural blues with crisp sky - but it seems to lack something, maybe some leading lines or an object in the scene to pull us into the scene. It may have also been interesting to get closer to the fence and use that as foreground to really create a more three dimensional image rather than the flat scene that is here now

Cool indeed. Going out on a day when the sky was cloudless was a good choice for this photo. Adds to the sense of serenity.
