OK, not it's real name, but that's what I've been calling it. Have seen a few of these but didn't get any decent shots till yesterday. They move off rather quickly. The blue "tail" looks like bristles up close but reminds me of thrust shooting out from a rocket, hence the nickname. Best guess is this is a nymph of ... some bug ;-)
Handheld, 36mm + 20mm extension tubes, diffused flash.
PP - rotated, cropped, dodged/burnt bug, resized, sharpened, blurred background some more, added border. |
