Just another Florida pasture shot. It's in the "Spirit of the Wild" wildlife management area, in Hendry County.

The cabbage palm tree in the center background by itself was destroyed by a bear. They love to eat the bud that is in the center of the top of the trees. They climb up and pull on it until it comes out. They fall to the ground with the bud and have a little meal when they recover from the fall, which can be as much as 30 ft/ 10 meters. A normal cabbage palm is at the left edge of the shot.
The brown ones at the right were burned in a controlled burn, and they will recover in less than a year.
