 How could I not? McCurry's famous image was the first that popped into my mind when I saw this challenge. I know that there will be so many better entries, probably even of this image, but I had to do it. Of course, this little one is one of my children so be nice. :)

post challenge comment: figured more people would pick on the saturation and crooked background. i had to rotate the image a bit to get her head positioned more like the original and i just liked the red.

a little disappointed in the score/placement of this.

Nice take on the challenge. I might suggest not quite a much red saturation, as it feels a but over-powerful to me.
