 I found it hard to find a "famous photo" that I could re-create so I decided to look at some of the work of famous photographers. Living close to Nashville the natural photographer to research was David Bean. David Bean photographs lots of the country music stars. My shot was inspired by this:

didn't do much editing
adjusted exposure and contrast
adjusted saturation and temp
added vignette
re-size and save

I was really hoping this one would be a new addition to my profile page. I checked the votes about noon on the day it was to close and didn't think it would make it so I was pleasantly surprised to see it on my profile page the morning after voting closed! :-)

Inadequate depth of field needs lighting and the pose is off. Compare this to David's photo.
