Post Contest:
I took this in my apartment utilizing a white board for the background & a large window behind me for light (as you can see in the picture). I definitely agree with all the comments regarding the reflections. Next time I'll spend more time to insure a cleaner shot. If you have any tricks of the trade as to how to do it better I'd appreciate the advice! Thanks!

Didn't care to much for the shadows in the vases but I'm one vote out of thousand. Good idea though

I like the composition, but I feel that the reflection takes away from the effectiveness of the photo.

I love the minimalistic strong composition...but the reflexion spoils it a lot !

not really digging the reflection showing in the vases - but other than that I like the shot

Excellent choice of subject for a study in minimalism. However, you'll have to control the reflections for a shot like this to work. Also, the placement of the large vase so far to the left creates a somewhat unbalanced image, as well as tension with the too-close edge of the frame. The black border seems unnecessarily stark--your photo is fairly high key, so the black stands out in sharp contrast and tends to draw the eye away from your subjects. (6)

this is really good, but I find the reflections in the vases distracting
