Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi is the largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates and the eighth largest mosque in the world. It opened in 2007 and is named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder and the first President of the United Arab Emirates, who is also buried there. It is an amazing space for photographs and always inspiring.

Sheikh Zayed Mosque, Abu Dhabi, UAE. One of the largest mosques in the world. These columns are constructed of white marble with colored stone inlay forming a vine and flower pattern. For other photos of this great mosque, visit my blog at //dwyllie.blogspot.com

Pattern is beautiful. I would have loved it more if the person wasn't in motion. It kind of distracts my eyes too much from the great symmetry of the church.
