Shot from the cart/pedestrian path overlooking the ninth green at the Tilden Regional Park Golf Course. I'm red-green colorblind, but even I can find (at least) nine shades of green in this picture. :-)

Merged from three exposures ranging from 1/101 to 1/636 second (base exposure 1/251 sec), plus two copies of the lightened exposure further modified with Curves, using EnfuseGUI.

-Tripod, timer
-Aperture mode, Auto-Exposure Bracketing mode
-Exposure Compensation -1 stop
-WB = Sunny
-Merge images with EnfuseGUI
-Clone out a little ghosting caused by motion blur of leaves in the middle, and stray branch at the top
-Some local Dodge/Burn to darkest foliage and calla flowers
-Clone in color mode on flowers
-RGB Curve
-Blue/Yellow Curve
-Create artially-transparent mask over calla leaves
-RGB and Blue/Yellow Curves to calla leaves through mask
-Create translucent semi-radial gradient mask for sky and trees near ridgeline
-RGB Curve to sky area through mask to correct "reverse vignette" effect
-Resize
-USM at 8%/48 dia/TH = 0
-USM at 66%/0.6 dia/TH = 5 (applied three times)
-SaveAs JPEG at quality 7/10 = 299KB

I think it looks good, especially considering the equipment..

I do think you might have over saturated a bit, and I think the midtones are just a bit too bright..

HDR to me is more about the shadows and highlights than it is the midtones,, and your image seems to draw me consistently to the midtones. I think that was most of the problem...

But be clear... This was WAYY better than a 4.57... you just didn't get lucky with any fluffy white clouds, and your foliage is scary bright green.. :)
