Critique Club critique:

COMPOSITION/CONTENT: Excellent composition and use of light. The bottle is not only full of bubbles but also full of light. The red light around the blue bottle creates a very nice contrast and the simple shapes make the photo very interesting.
BACKGROUND: The black background adds to the richness of the light shapes.
CAMERA WORK: Exposure and focus are just right giving the picture good contrast.
DIGITAL PROCESSING/TECHNICAL: good saturation of colors.
MY OPINION: I think the reason some for the comments about the red circle around the bottle are because the red light is assymetrical and of different quality and texture than the smooth and symmetrical bottle. If you left out the red light and zoomed in on the bottle I would have liked it also, but I like it better the way you did it. You might have started something here by your creative use of light. Great job!

The title has little to do with the photo other that my 7th attempt at this setting, out of about 50 settings.
It's an antique medicine bottle filled with warm water. Set upon a crudely fashioned light box, over a blue filter. The laser was the tricky part at least the shape I came up with. I was trying to draw a circle around the BLUE bottle.

Don't have any clue what the title has to do with this shot, but I don't really care. It's a great shot. I love the bubbly vase thing, and the lazer light trick around it is good too. if that's what it is, if not, just tell me to hush. a very nice shot. focus and clarity are great, angle and framing/cropping good as well. good luck in the challenge.

interesting, but it doesn't do much for me. the choice to include the red laser-light makes the picture feel more complete, but coming closer in to the subject might have worked better. i dunno. umm. 6.

Not a bad idea but I can not understand what's going on here.

I really like your lighting on the glass itself, I'm not sure, but I think the red laser light around it is somewhat distracting from the near perfect lighting you achieved. I wonder if a shot without the red, and a closer crop on the glass might have had a stronger impact on the viewer.

Nice effect with the bubbles in the container. The red line around the image adds contrast and flavor to the image!
