Shot from a tripod with natural light only. A little bit of selective noise reduction, a little bit of selective sharpening and then Nik's Color Efex Pro Bleach Bypass applied as a brush to the head of the fly.

Beautiful focus. I don't know how you can manage to sneak up on flies and shoot them with a tripod.
