Lots of tiny spider webs between the needles. This is a small pine tree (xmas tree type) in my front flower garden.

I pretty much always shoot handheld, unless I'm doing portraits or landscapes. So most of my macros will be handheld. If they aren't, I'll mention it.

I agree with Karen about the black, would help the composition if there were shades of deep greens as well - your photo makes a nice abstract. Foreground and b/g bokeh can really add to a shot.

I'm intrigued as I have the same camera and lens. How did you do this one? The color is cool and I like the black vignetting. How did you achieve this? I'd love to try something similar in my garden. Thanks.

I like the black border, and the way the needles extend into it. I would like to see a version with the focus on the closest needles, but overall I like the look of this.

The black border is too overpowering for my tastes and I think you could use a bit more DOF but it's a cool abstract looking photo.
