This shot reminds me of an explosion, with the white "rays" radiating outward from the center and the brown "projectiles" following suit.

not 100% certain how you lit this shot, but it it was with a flash I think you needed to use it off camera and slightly further away to avoid all of the little white highlights.

For my part, the white center is to big here. Nice macro and composition though and lovely colours and texture.
