Slave hut on the beach in Bonaire. The slaves worked the salt flats during the week and stayed in these huts, 2 people per hut. On Saturdays they could walk 20 miles to their homes, and then walk back for work on Monday. The huts are maintained by the parks department.

You've balanced past and present quite nicely.

One of my tens, I love the muted palette and quietude. A photograph can be many things, and this is an exemplary example of the flexibility and breadth of the art form.

Missed this challenge during voting. I think this is wonderful. Would have been perfectly at home in the missed focus challenge too :)

Hrmmmm... I gave this a 9. I see you got 5 10's as well, which is outstanding considering the very low finish. It's a lovely, and poignant, combination of title and image. Well done.

With such a lack of focus, I have to imagine it was done on purpose. Unfortunately, I think it falls somewhere between photo and abstract, giving this a lack of true identity.

The soft out of focus look works so well on this. This is beautiful.
