He wanted it "grungy", so I adapted a tutorial for Photoshop to GIMP. Actually I like it more like that than the unprocessed file, it's somehow more interesting.

Good composition for a portrait, good use of focal length. The sharpness of the photo is a bit too much for my tastes... was it a high iso or done in post process?

This is a great portrait with excellent lighting, but I think you have over processed it... I would love to see the original for comparison

The skin tones look wrong to me especially in the hands. Oversharpened? Contrast too high?
