My daugher. I lent my lights to sempermarine, so I decided to try something different. I bought two shop lights from home depot and tried using a $20 setup to get lighting like Martin Schoeller... I think with some work and maybe some more lights it could be done.

Not sure what this will score and I don't really care. Just trying to learn and have fun.

Dang! Didn't realize my ISO was at 400 until right now. Poop.

I do love the lighting here and the intimate distance, but they come at a price for me. My eyes get pulled right into her lovely eyes, but instead of focusing on the iris and her expression, I focus on the reflection of the lights and it pulls me out of the examination of the subject into thinking of how the photograph was lit and the technical issues of the taking of the image, at the cost of examining the subject of the image.

Had the lights been touching at the top and crossed by a third forming a capital A, it would have been amusing for this challenge, but either that or the strong parallels you have here, would have detracted from the delicate and subtle beauty of this image. Still a very nice shot, but for me the reflections detract from what might have been a great shot.

Nice composition. At first, I liked the reflections in her eyes, but the more I looked at them, the more I wished they weren't there.
