Had a lot of fun doing this shot. I'd had the idea in mind for some time and was waiting for an appropriate challenge to come along. I used two continuous-lighting soft boxes, and a smoke machine for the fog. I took some other shots using a remote flash to provide back lighting but in the end I liked this one better. It was taken outside on a relatively still night but the movement of the fog was still very unpredictable - so a lot of patience was required.
The 'model' is one of my daughters.
Processing mainly involved brightening the fog around the model and defining her face a little more.
Somewhere in my kitchen, an apple, an artichoke, an aubergine and an avocado are all being studiously ignored.
