Hello friends,
back from off the face of the earth. Was finishing off my movie poster and got system failure, and never got entered. I cant tell you how pissed and frustrated I am, for me and us. I put so much work into it and felt it would do well, but now it sits all dressed up and no where to go.
May I at least share it with you all?
It would make me feel a little bit better.

"Sorry to hear about your computer and not being able to enter - system failures suck :( And looks like loads of effort went into it too.

In terms of the content though... If this is a play on words on 'retard', I personally find the content offensive, and disrespectful to people with learning disabilities. If, however, there's something I'm misunderstanding, please do correct me."

Hello Jelena,
Yes, I had wondered if that would be a problem, which was why I submitted the idea here and said 'please be honest'. Here in the US the meaning has mutated to being used for people who do unbelievably stupid things like the Darwin Awards. It is never used to refer to the mentally challenged anymore. I am very sensitive to any disabilities, being in health care for over 2decades, esp Hospice work which can be very intense, and we have to learn to lighten up and laugh a little at ourselves (that's me in the pic being dim witted as I often can be). So definitely no disrespect intended. I had just hoped folks would see the light joke that was intended for this challenge only.

The concept and title were one of the ideas I kicked around, but I feared the PC backlash. Certainly wouldn't have done better than this version anyway - GREAT job. Sorry it missed out on being ridiculed. ;-)
