 This is a mural in a small park in Philadelphia. I shot it around 10:00 in the morning so the sun was a factor. I used highlights and shadows in PS Elements.
The colors look overwhelming and they are in reality. The grimmer the landscape, the brighter the murals.

As someone who does alot of HDR, I must say I think this could be much more effective without that here. There is much so potential to explore with the moodiness of the person on the bench, but the cartoonie effect seems so out of place. Perhaps if you crop off the top and right hand section and convert to B&W, but that is just my opinion.
