 This shot was taken at Eyjafjallajökull where a volcanic eruption was happening. The glacier (jökull), was covered in black ash and just like the red light coming from the eruption behind me. This photo is straight out of the camera, no editing.

22k file size?! watch your JPEG compression when you save. I can see blocky artifacts all over the place. You have lost a lot of detail in what would have been an awesome shot otherwise.

Ah man, too bad you didn't use the full 800 pixels! This photo seems so small by comparison to the other challenge entries, and I would suspect that will hurt your score.

Way too surreal, i'd rather tune into sci fi channel..
