Velvety smooth sea. The foreground looks overprocessed to me. Maybe if you'd have stood one step further to the left, you could have better framed the ships on the horizon.

the contrast overwhelms this one for me - i want to see the ship and i feel that the rocks prevent it

A little too sharp and contrasty for my tastes. Composition is good, and the inclusion of the ship on the horizon adds an interesting touch.

Either this was overexposed, or the conversion to B&W was a bit overdone (too much contrast).

Has a harsh feel to it which is not a criticism - the processing suits the mood of the image so to speak.
