I took this in Restoration park. Until the early 70's this area was a sand "mine", also known as a sandpit. After the mining operation moved out, people started dumping trash and continued until the end of the 80's. The city of West Monroe purchased the property, cleaned it up and basically gave it back to nature. It is a beautiful area and I hope everyone enoys my picture...

Love the perspective, and the leading lines. B&W helps too. A little but of contrast adjustment may have brought the details in trees up, and a slightly tighter crop at the bottom could do wonders so one of the lines would meet the corner perfectly.

Good job!

Nice deep depth of field here. I like the walkway since it adds a different element to a picture of trees, but I think I would have liked a different perspective better. Maybe if you were on the walkway.

The white sky at the top is a distraction for me. I'd crop it out. The whole shot could use more contrast. Interesting leading line in the curved walkway.

I feel that a little boost in contrast might add more depth to this photo. Still, you have a wonderful composition with those perfect leading lines.

I feel the line of the walk way leads my eye out of the scene.

This image doesn't really grab me. A bit drab and dull. There doesnt seem to a be a primary place of focus. The path kind of carries my eye, but the background doesnt build on it much. A higher perspective may have helped to get more of the path may have been nice. So next time you head out for a hike make sure you bring a 12 foot ladder with you. ;) No vote - just comment.
