My favorite toy camera at the moment is this lovely thing -- the Photoflex MX-35. It has a plastic lens with some nonsense printed around the lens barrel, a half-accurate viewfinder, and a broken image counter. (It works, but spins freely, so it's only accurate until it brushes against something.) It has four stops: f/6, f/8, f/11 and f/16 or cloudy through sunny as marked. You adjust by twisting the lens barrel which moves a leaf with a v-shaped cut over the circular aperture. High tech. It also has a hot shoe but takes no batteries.

But it's the images that I love -- candystore store colors and a light leak profile that, when it magically decides to present itself, looks like flames.

Maybe the best part of it is the "p'tang" sound it makes when you release the shutter. It's not so much the sound as it is the tactile feedback --that little charge of electricity that it feeds back through your index finger and makes you feel like you've done something special. (Whether you have or not.)

Defines the statement "so bad it's good". What surprises me is that my backwards camera didn't do shots like this. It had no light leaks and actually took decent pics. I notice you also left the price sticker on. (I paid less for mine!)

So this is the one responsible for those shots! You're getting a lot of mileage out of that $2.25!
