This is my very first submission to DPC, so I am pretty excited to see how I do. Not expecting the world here, I wasn't even planning on entering this challenge.

Then my dog Hank, propped himself up on the couch the other day and took advantage of some sun!

This is straight off the camera, I am a noob, and not so good with Photoshop! LOL

Go easy on me! ;) I would really appreciate some feedback though, especially on editing, as I am new to PS...

Thanks in advance!

wow!!!

I couldn't imagine being at a 5.5 by now....not the greatest score in the world, but I am okay with that for my first submission.

Considering I had the f stop all wrong, and I did zero post processing, I am a pretty happy guy!

Keep the comments coming. They are all appreciated!

An EXCELLENT first..

If this is anything to judge by, I think it's clear that you will do well here.

I wish more of the face was in focus instead of just the nose and mouth
