 my friend wanted me to take photos of her family. I did the best I could with the lighting. We had to shoot at midday.

I think you did a WONDERFUL job with these!! Great expressions, everyone can be seen, a very good background, and yes, you did just fine with the light. Nicely done! I'm sure they're very pleased!
