The C3 was the best selling 35mm camera in the world for nearly 3 decades. I had one of these as a teen, though not this particular one. The focus gearing on them always seems to be very tight. Builds muscular index fingers, I suppose.

Yes, the focus is very tight, and the lever to open the back takes some muscle, too. Yours looks a bit different than mine. I think I'll take mine out tomorrow. I kinda like the look it gets.

And what a brick - likely too one of those kinds of cameras that a non-camera collector can't fathom why we have it. :)

The Brick! This is the camera that got my father started in photography. It was a gift from work before he left for the service many years ago. I used it a bit in HS, and it now sits proudly on his bookshelf. Of course, he has gone over the the dark side now.. (Digital that is.)

Nice find of an old classic. I haven't seen many of these around here. I'm going to start combing the garbage garage sales going on this summer for some interesting finds, I hope.
