I just tried it. The shutter does seem to work! Also, when I hold it up to a bright light, I can't see any light leaks in the bellows as I look through the open back. The controls are pretty "stiff" but I can switch the shutter from "I" (Instant?) to "T" which changes it from what looks like about 1/50 sec. to a time exposure. There's a choice of three f stops as you can see in the photo, and the focus knob on the lens goes from 6 (feet?) to "inf."

These folders are always cool cameras. I have a couple that are very similar, but not the same brand name.
