 This is of course is a Peacock Frog. He is the cutest frog. He doesn't get off your hand if you hold him. He even jumped on my camera when I was shooting him. Very calm frog.

Lighting: Bounced flash off of ceiling.
Background: White cardboard I purchased from walmart.

Used curves, contrast and brighten and Sharpened.
I did clone some on his nose because it was so bluring.

I used a 18-55mm lens at about 12 inches from the frog.

I don't know if it is my best of the month but it is my favorite because he is so cute. I am not sure how it will do since folks have seen frog shots already. I just had to try it myself.

Wonderful image of an interesting subject. My only hesitiation is that all the colours are pretty much the same intensity/register. More contrast esp. in the background would have really made this little fellow pop of the screen.

The first thing I thought is 'why are the leaves on the left more in focus than the frog's body?' The eyes are nicely bright and sharp and stand out nicely. The color of the frog with the green of the plant contrast nicely also. What looks like shallow dof used has made part of the frog's body out of focus and so the in focus leaves look distracting as that's where my eyes want to go. I think if the leaves werent there then the out of focus body wouldnt bother me so much, or else the body needed to be in focus too.
