Congratulations Sharon. 6th place is a wonderful achievement and it is a beautiful image even though I mentioned in my comments during voting that I felt the orange background smothers the flowers. I did say it was perfect in every way though and now in retrospect I realize why I scored it high by going on feeling alone. My feeling felt and appreciated the background but my mind objected.

Well, this image certainly is orange. The flowers are nice and I especially like the composition, and the way the flowers lean into the rest of the frame.
However, I think you should have chosen a lighter or more desaturated orange background maybe. It is so orange that it overwhelms the flowers a little. I think ideally the flowers should be the most orange thing in this picture

Jus too similar a colour behind the middle flowers. I still like it though. The border is perfect.

I don't normally like flower photos but you have done a great composition here and the colours compliment perfectly. You have a good eye.

First impression: Wow, really nice!

Upon looking at it a bit more, not fond of the blue border or the shadows on the wall.

But overall a good photo that deserves a 7.

This is perfect in every way except for the red/orange background which smothers and overpowers the flowers completely.

Nice subject, good arrangement, and composition. But the lighting seems little harsh and is creating unpleasant shadows. And also, the border. I understand you wanted to bring the same color combination as the subjects (blue and orange) but the blue is overwhelming for a border.
