 Gawd, she wants my steps... (shudder)

I opened it and straightened it and cropped it first.

Then I went into Topaz detail and did "bold detail" on a dupe layer.

I duped the bold detail layer and ran "bold detail" on it AGAIN.

Then I duped the double-bold layer and ran Topaz detail "abstract" setting on THAT.

On all of these I was tweaking the tone sliders to get the right balance of luminosity in the various colors for my "vision".

In the end I used multiply gradient layers to darken in from the edges a tad.

now it wasn't all that bad...and how am I to learn...hmmm (LOL) I assume that you are using CS/?. Is the Topaz hard to work with?
