 This is my first dpchallenge submission. I have always wanted to attempt to photograph an egg. I kept a 'wrinkled' egg in the fridge once hoping to get around to taking a picture of it. But, after 4 months I decided that I wasn't going to. Then this challenge came around. Yesterday I purchased some Eggland's Best Cage free eggs and one of them was bespeckled. I loved the look and thought that it would make an interesting photo.

The only editing that was done was some straigtening, cropping, levels adjustment, and cloning out a stray hair (from my cat).

For me the picture needed more lighting, it appears dull.

Very cool concept. A different color surface would have been nice to set off the salt and the line between the surface and background is very distracting.
