GREETINGS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB

AimeeMarie welcome to DPC! I see you registered back in '05 and now have just come back to competition on the site.

You certainly met the challenge of "Stopped Motion" with your kicked ball coming off the foot of your subject. Unfortunately, there was also a lot more information in your photograph that didn't really say much about the challenge subject, and I think that is what got your entry a low score. If the two had been against a simple background it would have helped and if the lovely low-angle sunlight you found was bouncing off their faces it would have been a major plus.

So, to sum up. A little more containment of the action and less clutter in the background would make this fun image a real keeper.

I look forward to seeing more of your work! don't stay away so long next time.

Best regards,

Alice

Nice capture of the motion, the sun is too bright for my taste.

Comes across to me as an average snapshot. There is some tilt in the picture that could be easily corrected on the computer. The girl's hand is cut off at frame edge, and I think the light was good, but not shot from the best direction. This could have some nice impact perhaps, if shot from the other side, from a lower perspective. Me, I like to get way down lying on the ground for strong perspectives.

Good action shot! I feel the back ground is a bit over exposed. I would have taken the shot from the other side of them but I guess the background there may have been worst.

This looks more like a snap shot
