It's the ears and the facial expression - the rest of him would be thrown out of Crufts - or maybe not if he insisted on staying ? (comes back to the 500lb Gorilla joke).

That said I was also thinking that with his battered look a bit of PS graffiti might look in keeping on him ? A robot from the rough end of the cargo hold ?
