I was at my small school today, and this caught my eye as being robotish. It's a replica of Jomon period pottery piece (I presume, though it wasn't labelled as such. It wasn't labelled at all.;-Þ). Jomon was the period in Japanese history given as 14000BCE to 400BCE.
I took the photo in the art room, so used Junichi's model hand to prop it up Junichi's a black belt in karate and is in the national Top 8 for his age group. Really cool and confident kid.

I thought the over-sharpening effect looked, er, effective.

Hehe. Or maybe it's like "Ti, a drink with jomon bread." :-p

Anyway, I agree, there is something robotish about the figure. It's the kind of object that gives rise to speculation about civilization being started by space aliens.

14000BCE?? or 1400? Never heard of Jomon, but a Rastafarian at a coffee shop once asked me if I wanted a cup of Jomon. :P (booooo)

Oh those intense over saturated colors are awesome. I agree about the sharpening too. This is great.
