 Lighting Top lighting inside my homemade lightbox.

Items Bought a penguin toy pack from Landmark (to be used by Kids of age 4+). I never knew I would go back to an age this young. LOL

Setup Since it is quite warm here (temperature at about 28 degC) there is no chance of actual snow. I wanted something to symbolize snow. What else could give me that apart from a thick line of lining white cloth (usually used by tailors for stitching). I had to overexpose this by +3EV to washout the texture of cloth as much as possible.
Carefully arranged the toys to create a scene which could have been there in Happy Feet movie (could have been there if the penguin group had decided to ask Happy Feet to leave the place when he was a kid. Fortunately in the movie, it happens when he is quite older).

Steps in GIMP
1. Scale image to 1600 pixels wide
2. Levels
3. Increased saturation a bit
4. Unsharp Mask (wanted to do twice, but then the white cloth started showing texture which I didn't want)
5. Scale image to 800 pixels wide
6. Scale image to 700 pixels wide
7. Added 15 pixels black border on top and bottom
8. Save to jpg

I liked the shot, hope DPC voters too would like.
I have high expectations for this photo, but I am unsure of the outcome; especially after the terrible performance of The Egg II entry, which I thought would perform a lot better.

Creative use of the sheets etc and lighting good enought to create a realistic enough scene. Mayeb little more depth for the bird on right.
