Taken with a 20+ yr old Sunpak GX8R Ring Flash fully manual.
He was hopping around my back courtyard and I popped him on a bunch of eggs in a white bowl.
Took a bunch of shots playing with exp and comp.
Returned him under a nice leafy plant outside.

I gave it a 6, but I liked the overall look. Didn't get the taste thing, mainly because I don't know anybody that has eaten frog legs. Round these parts, we eat dried mopanie worms. Tastes like chicken dust.

I don't think the title sucks. I think it's spot on. After all, everyone says that frog legs taste like chicken.

This egg challenge seems to have a good deal of underrated shots. By underrated I mean that there are some bad photos placing higher than this image that really should not have. Im very surprised to see this place 72nd. It should at least be somewhere around top 20.

I don't get those sub-4 votes, there clearly are eggs in the shot, it's sharp, well exposed and somwhat humurous. Admitted, the title sux.

The Title sucked eggs. Only later did I realise it should have been called "the Babysitter"
Thanks for comments and votes, for the above 5 voters who scored and looked at technicals and especially the 1 voters who didn't think even the technicals deserved more than 1 point or didn't see the eggs or make the correlation between the taste of chicken and the taste of frog. whahahahah. Thx also to the 177 voters who felt it was above 5, there is some hope after all!
I would dearly love to have gotten comments from the 8, 9 , 10 voters as to what they like about it. Yo_Spiff has been struggling to get a love it/hate it shot for ages, PM me and I'll give you some tips!

@ MickiVee, nope no yin yang going in when I took the shot, isn't that the beauty of photography?
@ Dirt_Diver, he's guarding them and he tastes like chicken.
@ Ja-9, those are Ostrich eggs, they are huge :) J/K
@ Luci11e Lol indeed, it was meant to be somewhat humerous.

I don't know if it was planned, but I like the almost "yin yang" effect with the white triangular negative space around the frog.
I'm left wishing the lighting was just a bit more dramatic on the right side, however, as it tends to fall off a bit.

I don't get what this has to do with eggs.

hmmmmm...I don't think so...I think they use much larger frogs than that....but I do like the clarity of your shot
