I have always called these and the Puli "mop dogs" because of their corded coat.

This breed is just fascinating- I was listening to the announcer tell about the reason for the coat in this "working" dog -

Looks like doggie dread locks. lol I wonder what that dog looks like shaved?? You had some really nice shots in NY!!

I am astonished by these dogs. I know how 'free' my dog feels after grooming and wonder how liberated and happy these dogs would be not to be so weighed down.
