 gradient map
levels for the edges
white paint set to overlay over the boys for lighting
grungy rust overlay
black paint for more vignette
selective color to tone down the yellows
flatten and usm

just screwing around, I don't know if I made it better or not :)

I quite like this edit. I'm sorry that the original left a bit to be desired. I think I might have uploaded the wrong one!
