 I visited the American West for the first time in my life a couple weeks ago. California is a whole different world. This was actually business travel, but I did manage to get a day in at the beach. More than anything, I wanted to see the Pacific Ocean. This is the Ferris Wheel at Santa Monica Pier.

This was taken with my homemade 35mm pinhole camera, the Populist. It's about a one second exposure. The film is Kodak Gold 400. Read more about the camera here.
