First impressions are, wow that is a strong background and grabs my eyes. After I move down to the main subject my impression is that he is in great focus, very clear and sharp.
The lighting is done well and doesn't seem harsh at all which can be difficult in a bathroom setting.
The composition is ok, I do like his placement and how he is looking diagonally out of the frame. I think this shot would be better served if part of the bathtub was in the frame so that we can really get a better feel from the shot. Also the tip of the hat is cropped off.
The color on the main subject is excellent but the blues in the background seem to fight for my attention and not in a good way.
Overall the shot is composed ok, the lighting is excellent, the colors on the main subject are great. The needs improvement, in my own opinion are the distracting background and some of the tub in the shot.
On a side note I really liked your headwear entry and how the background is much more subtle. |
