This is my little dog "Flake" ---- completely in her element. She lives for weather for like this.
Flake was a stray in Richmond, VA who landed at Chesterfield Animal Care & Control. She was transferred to the Richmond SPCA (where I work) and I adopted her from there about 6 years ago. She is probably a mix, although it seems clear that there is American Eskimo in her heritage. She excels at tricks and agility, often performs as part of our humane education program, and has appeared in local commercials for the Virginia Lottery and James River Heating & Air. She also appeared on the cover of Bark Magazine in 2008. Yes --- I am a bit of a shameless stage Mom. Thanks to everyone for the many nice comments and private messages during the "Cold" challenge. It is absolutely thrilling to win a DPC ribbon, but especially so when it generates so many nice comments about my dog.
